The answer to each one of these clues is one letter of the alphabet.
When you have all eight letters, unscramble them and enter them in the box below. If you have the right letters in the correct order you will be taken to another Sunshine letterbox page.
From there follow a few more virtual clues that will lead to the images of the stamps in this series.
NOTE: These clues are written to be figured out with a little surfing on the internet. I tried to write them so that changed or missing web pages would not affect finding the answer.
The Sunshine Letterbox Series Clues
1. They formally organized in Baltimore in 1901. They were purchased in 1903 for $18,000 and moved to Manhattan where they were renamed the highlanders. They were officially renamed in 1913 to this. Write down the first letter.
2. The last name of the winner of “The Duel” is also the name of a Connecticut letterbox series. Write down the second letter of the nut letterbox in this series.
3. First find the Connecticut state bird. Then find the name of the art of recreating incidental sound effects. Go to this artists website and discover what famous comedian has some of her pieces in their private collection. Write down the second to the last letter of this comedians last name.
4. In 1991 he played with LeRoi, Carter, Stefan, Peter and Boyd. In 1996 he had So Much to Say. Find the type of trail he has been treading and write down either the 4th or 5th letter.
5. In 1975 he won a Grammy for Best Rhythm and Blues Song. In 1978 he a Grammy for Album of the Year. He is the president of C & G Artist Management. He has five letters in each of his three names. Write down the first letter of the initials this artist is best known as.
6. Write down the second to the last letter of the day of the week that was October 31st, 1907.
7. A name that the one-legged flutist and the 18th century inventor share. Write down the second letter of the first name.
8. Find the names of Ethiopia, Venezuela, and Thailand’s currency. Write down the letter that these three currency’s share.
